Those who have been left alone need to know that there is a heavenly father who loves them and a bridegroom who will care for them better than any person on earth ever could. 

 We know that the youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow and we feel that investing in the future offers a sure footing for the continued sharing of the Gospel among the many people groups we work with globally.

With the exception of our partners in India, whose main ministry focus is the education of under-privileged children and reaching them with the Gospel, all of our global affiliates are offering assistance to orphans in addition to youth outreach ministries.  These children are learning that someone cares for them and they are learning scripture to assist them through the tough times in life. 

They have spiritual wings of protection around them that will never leave them or forsake them.  The life of an orphan is not easy and the cost to our partners of feeding so many additional mouths is a definite challenge, particularly in times of drought, was and natural disaster, but with the help of our partners in the Western World, Harvesters is able to assist these nationals in housing, clothing and feeding these children as well as supplying them with much needed medical attention, education and vocational or university training.

When we invest in the Christian education of a child, we are investing in the future.  Many of the young people stay on to work with our ministry partners and this is a real blessing to them as they are aware of the pressing needs, the challenges and have heart to continue the work of the partners.

We at Harvesters cannot consider our work done until we know that the next generation is in place to continue the work and we cannot turn our backs on the physical needs of the widows and orphans.  Our stateside partners feel the same way which is why we invest so much in the orphanage programs around the globe.
